Oral Health is vital to all children and unfortunately accounts for a large proportion of absence days at primary school. At Bevington we place high importance on oral hygiene and oral health across all years, but in particular EYFS. Each year we participate in the ‘Smile Programme’ with the NHS dental service coming into school to educate the children. Please view the link to the information from the workshop and contact details for local NHS dentists.
Year 1 and 2 had a great day out at the recently re-vamped Museum of Brands and Advertising near Latimer Road. They had a chance to take a trip down memory lane with their teachers and see what the packaging from their favourite brands looked like in the past.
We had a lovely time this morning in our Early Years Stay and Play session working on our motor skills using spaghetti and glitter amongst other things! We love being really messy and playing with our parents.
We have had two days of amazing auditions with children from across the school showing us their talents. The standard was so high it will be really hard to shortlist the final 10 acts. Results will be announced on Friday 9th in assembly. Good luck everyone!
Thanks to Willow Class for their assembly yesterday on Advent and to all the parents who came to support them. We had a chance to talk about what Advent means at this time of year in school and Chestnut class used what they had learnt that morning to make their own Advent calendar to open in school.
Thank you to the team from Tender who spent two days with Year 6 thinking about relationships and how they change as you get older. We were very fortunate that Tender were able to visit Bevington as they could only visit one school per borough. The children’s feedback was really positive and they were a credit to the school in terms of their engagement and behaviour.
