The Board of Governors meets once a term. The Board delegates responsibility to three sub-committees: the Strategy Committee, the Curriculum and Standards Committee, and the Finance and General Purposes Committee.
The Strategy Committee sets and monitors the work of the governing board and focuses on strategic issues, such as developing the school’s vision.
Curriculum and Standards Committee
The Curriculum and Standards Committee is responsible for monitoring the curriculum, teaching and pupil achievement. This includes assessing progress against the School Improvement Plan and reviewing test results. The Committe also has responsibility for monitoring Safeguarding and SEND provision.
Finance and General Purposes Committee
The Finance and General Purposes Committee is responsible for ensuring the financial probity of the school, monitoring the budget and accounts and ensuring internal and external requirements are adhered to. The Committee has responsibility for the school’s Human Resources and performance management framework, ensuring that systems are robust and in line with legislation and safer recruitment practices. The Committee also oversees site and premises management and Health and Safety.
