Keystage 1 and Keystage 2

Every child in Key Stage 1 and 2 completes weekly Home Learning which is accessed via Google Classroom and Doodle. We expect children to complete the following each week:

• Maths on Doodle

• Spellings related to phonics or spelling rule, which are taught at school each week, posted on Doodle and Google Classroom to practise at home

• English on Doodle

• Guided Reading text and comprehension questions on Doodle

• Home Reading which should happen every day for 30 minutes with parents

• Theme/STEM these activities relate to the theme/STEM topic covered in school and made engaging, creative and enthuse pupils to continue their learning journey beyond the school day.

All of the above home learning activities are planned by the class teachers for that year group and sent out electronically through via Google Classroom. The work is posted on the online class area on a Monday and the work needs to be submitted via Google Classroom by the following Monday. Teachers can provide written feedback and support through via Google Classroom as well as sending links to appropriate websites and videos to support home learning.

EYFS

In the Foundation Stage, Home Learning is also set using via Google Classroom.

Nursery:

Daily shared reading and weekly nursery rhymes / speech and language activities.
Maths and topic-based activities throughout the half term.

Reception:

Daily guided reading and weekly phonics learning.
Maths and topic-based activities throughout the half term.
