Keystage 1 and Keystage 2

Every child in Key Stage 1 and 2 completes weekly Home Learning which is accessed via Google Classroom.  We expect children to complete the following each week:

  • Maths work related to the week’s learning in class
  • Spellings related to phonics or spelling rule, which are tested at school each week
  • Guided Reading text and comprehension questions
  • Home Reading which should happen every day for 30 minutes with parents
  • Topic/STEM (alternating each week) these activities relate to the topic/STEM topic covered in school and made engaging, creative and enthuse pupils to continue their learning journey beyond the school day.

All of the above home learning activities are planned by the class teachers for that year group and sent out electronically through via Google Classroom. The work is posted on the online class area on a Monday and the work needs to be submitted via Google Classroom by the following Monday.
