At the end of the Reception year, teacher assessment is made against 17 areas of learning. Children are graded as emerging (working below age related expectation), expected (at age related expectation) and exceeding (working above age related expectation) in all 17 areas of the curriculum.
A āgood level of development scoreāĀ (GLD) is assigned to pupils achieving expected in all theĀ prime areasĀ of learningĀ (personal, social and emotional development; physical development; and communication and language)Ā and Mathematics and Literacy.
In 2019, achievement in all areas of the EYFS curriculum were broadly in line with national averages from last year.
