PSHE (Personal, Social, Health Education) at Bevington is embedded into every-day school life, as well as being explored in weekly lessons. Lessons are discussion driven, with children exploring themes related to staying healthy and safe, healthy relationships and living in the wider world. Children are encouraged to share their views, as well as responding to and questioning the views of others, helping to develop their confidence and understanding of their rights and responsibilities.

Children at Bevington are always encouraged to develop their resilience in all aspects of school life. Additionally, children participate in a termly afternoon lesson with our learning mentor, who provides them with opportunities to apply resilience in real-life contexts.
The PSHE Curriculum is enriched for all classes through external workshops. Each class will receive workshops, which will further explore themes within staying healthy and safe, healthy relationships and living in the wider world. Year 6 take part in a Children’s Parliament project, where they develop ideas to improve the local area and pitch these to local councillors. The NSPCC and TFL have visited Bevington to deliver workshops speaking out to stay safe and safety and responsibilities when using TFL.
