School Improvement Targets 2018-19
Every year all schools and Governing bodies evaluate their school’s performance across all areas in the previous year. From that they agree a set of key focus areas for school improvement in the new academic year.
This year at Bevington we will be working on the following areas:
- By the end of year six, 60% of pupils are attaining the higher standard in reading, writing or maths. Of these 40% are achieving the combined higher standard
- Staff refine and deliver an engaging and innovative curriculum which inspires the children’s curiosity
- The school is gaining a reputation as a specialist centre for STEM and provides support and development for other schools within London
- Pupils model all the characteristics of a Bevington learner.
These aims are a shared responsibility and are underpinned by many different actions through the year. Some of these changes and improvement opportunities have already been made explicit to all stakeholders and they are all related to the school’s core business of teaching and learning.
Our full plan is attached below. We will be talking to all stakeholders about how we can achieve these targets throughout the year so please look out for updates.
