The cold war comes to Bevington

As you know year 3 and 4 have been learning about Eastern Europe and the Berlin wall this term and on Thursday they came to school to find a wall down the middle of their classroom and segregation in place. The children who ended up on the “East” side of the wall were extremely unhappy and dissatisfied with the living conditions and the children in the “West” missed their friends. This was a perfect illustration of the emotions of the time and has really helped the children to see politics from another point of view.
