The entomologists of the future!
Year 5 took-over our diverse garden this afternoon intent on finding one thing…. insects! They really showed themselves to be the entomologists of years to come as they examined habitats and searched high and low for creatures of many shapes and sizes. At first they were a little shocked when asked to use a pooter to collect their insects, with a few believing that they might inadvertently find themselves swallowing a mouth full of dirt and bugs. However, after a little practice, the whole year group was pooting away to their hearts content, and a set of truly fine specimens were collected. Well done Year 5; we are all eagerly awaiting your scientific write-up!
