Without music, life would be a mistake

We certainly have started our new half term in the spirit of Friedrich Nietzsche.  This week the children were introduced to our new set of ‘Legacy Music’; this is a selection of pieces of music and songs of exceptional quality which staff members have selected to pass on to our next generation.  Jimmy Cliff’s “I Can See Clearly Now” started the term, and the children will be thinking about its history as they listen to it on the way in and out of assembly.

We also launched the Bevington Orchestra this morning, and it was a joy to see over 50 children sign-up for auditions.  Mrs Flynn and Mr Byrne-Smith will be judging these on Tuesday and Thursday next week, so let’s get practising!
