Year 6 on Tour!
Next week, Year 6 have a busy week of learning both in and out of the classroom. As part of their topic ‘Rainforests’, both Year 6 classes will be attending Kew Gardens to explore more about the flora that exists within a rainforest. The pupils will explore the Palm House, Treetop Walkway and Temperate House – where they will escape for a moment the cold UK winter climate for a more tropical style of humidity.
On Thursday morning, both Rowan and Maple will be walking to the Central Gurdwara (Khalsa Jatha) to explore more about the Sikh religion and link this with their RE topic of ‘Community’ and how religion plays an active part in the community.
If you are a parent/carer of a child in either year 6 class and are able to assist us with either of the trips next week then please speak to Mr Smith or Mr Collett ASAP.
