Keep your Child Safe
At Bevington Primary School, every child has the right to be treated with respect and to feel safe.
The children in our care are our highest priority, and we work tirelessly to ensure they are safe, happy, and supported – both within school and in the wider community.
We aim to provide a caring, secure, and inclusive environment where every child is valued and encouraged to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. We want our pupils to develop the confidence, independence, and self-esteem to make positive choices and contribute responsibly to society.
We recognise that some children may experience or witness difficult events in their lives that affect their ability to feel secure or view the world positively. For these pupils, school may be one of the few stable and predictable parts of their lives. Others may be more vulnerable because of a disability, special educational needs, or being in care. Whatever the circumstances, we are committed to giving every child the support they need to stay safe and to grow in confidence.
We want all children at Bevington to feel able to talk to any member of staff if they are worried or concerned, knowing they will be listened to and taken seriously.
Regardless of background, culture, age, disability, gender, race, or religious belief, children have the right to:
-
Live and learn in a safe environment, free from violence, fear, abuse, bullying, and discrimination
-
Be protected from harm, exploitation, and abuse
-
Access safe spaces to play, learn, and thrive
We also work to safeguard children and young people from the risks of violent extremism and radicalisation, and we promote understanding and respect through our work on community cohesion.
At all times, we seek to work in partnership with parents and carers, as well as colleagues in health, social care, and other agencies, to protect and promote the welfare of every child.
