About Bevington Nursery:

Bevington Primary School Nursery offers high-quality early education and childcare for children aged 2 to 4. We provide:

  • Full-time Nursery places for 3- and 4-year-olds
  • Rising 3 places for eligible 2-year-olds
  • Extended day care from 7.45 am to 5.45 pm, Monday to Friday

Our core Nursery Day runs from 8.50 a.m. to 3.15 p.m. A qualified Nursery Teacher and highly experienced Early Years Educator lead the setting, and children are supported in small groups by their own key person.

Admissions Process:

Nursery admissions are managed directly by the school. To register interest or apply, please get in touch with Lisa Joynson in the School Office on 020 8969 0629 or info@bevington.rbkc.sch.uk

Understanding Your Funding Options:

From September 2025, working parents of children under 3 may be entitled to 30 hours of funded childcare, expanding from the previous 15 hours.

Apply via: www.childcarechoices.gov.uk

Applications should be submitted at least 6 weeks before the term begins. Terms start on:

  • 1 January
  • 1 April
  • 1 September

Option A: 30 Hours Funded Childcare (3-4 year olds)

Eligible working parents can access five full-time days using their 30-hour code, with an additional charge of £420 per term for full-week provision (32.5 hours per week). A valid code must be in place before the start of each term. You must reconfirm eligibility every 3 months via your HMRC childcare account.

If your code becomes invalid, your child will move to Option B, our fee-paying structure.

Option B: 15 Hours Funded Childcare (3-4 year olds)

Parents who are not eligible for 30-hour funding but qualify for 15 hours can still opt for a full-time place by paying £2,195 per term. This includes meals and snacks. Instalment payment plans may be available on request but must be approved by the Executive Headteacher. Non-compliance with payments may result in withdrawal of the place.

Option C: 15 Hour Places for Rising 3s

We accept eligible 2-year-olds turning 3 within the term. These children attend part-time mornings only in their first term. You may be eligible for a Busy 2s funded place if you receive one of the following:

  • Income Support
  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
  • Income-related ESA
  • Universal Credit (household income below £15,400 after tax)
  • Tax credits (annual income under £16,190)
  • Guaranteed Pension Credit
  • Immigration/Asylum support
  • Working Tax Credit run-on

Additional Information:

  • Reception Admissions: A separate application must be made for a Reception place – there is no automatic transfer from Nursery.
  • Wraparound Care: We offer before and after school care from 7.45am to 5.45pm, bookable once your child has completed their settling-in period.
