Pupil Premium & Sports Premium Strategies
Pupil Premium Strategy
The Pupil Premium is additional government funding given to schools to help close the gap in achievement between disadvantaged pupils and their peers. It is allocated to schools based on the number of pupils who are currently entitled to free school meals, have been entitled at any point over the last six years, are in the care of the local authority, or are from service families.
At Bevington Primary School, we use this funding to remove learning barriers and support eligible pupils' progress and attainment. This may include providing academic interventions, pastoral support, access to enrichment opportunities, or tailored resources to meet specific needs. We aim to ensure that every child, regardless of background, can reach their full potential.
We regularly monitor the impact of our Pupil Premium Strategy and update our plans to ensure the funding is used effectively. The documents section below provides a full breakdown of our current Pupil Premium Strategy, including how we are using the funding and its impact.

Sports Premium Strategy
The PE and Sports Premium is government funding to improve the quality of physical education and sport in primary schools. This funding is provided to help schools develop or add to the PE and sport activities they offer and make improvements that will benefit pupils now and in future years.
At Bevington, we use the Sports Premium to raise the profile of physical activity, promote healthy lifestyles, and ensure all pupils have access to high-quality PE lessons and a wide range of sporting opportunities. This includes investment in developing our specialist PE coaches, staff training, improved sports equipment, and the organisation of clubs and competitive events.
Our goal is to inspire a love for physical activity in every child and to build confidence, teamwork, and resilience through sport. The strategy documents below also provide details of how we spend the Sports Premium and its impact on our pupils.
