Vision, Values and School Day
Our Vision at Bevington Primary School
Our school will ensure that every child benefits from an excellence and breadth of education that will enable them to succeed.
At Bevington, we create an environment where children are encouraged to aim high, think deeply and become independent, resilient learners. We believe success comes from a balance of challenge, support and opportunity—inside and outside the classroom.
Our Core Values
Three key values guide us:
- Aspiration – aiming high and believing in what is possible
- Respect – showing care and consideration to ourselves, others and the world
- Perseverance – staying focused and determined, even when things are tough
These values are at the heart of how we learn and behave, forming the foundation of our school community.
Learning Through Values
A strong sense of values helps children grow into confident, responsible citizens. Through assemblies and classroom discussions, we explore real-world themes and important cultural and religious events such as Diwali, Christmas, Ramadan, Hanukkah, and Eid.
Recognition assemblies offer an opportunity to celebrate effort, progress and achievements, reinforcing positive behaviour and a commitment to learning.
We also teach the fundamental British Values, including:
- Democracy
- The rule of law
- Individual liberty
- Mutual respect
- Tolerance and acceptance of those with different faiths and beliefs
The School Day
The school gate on Bevington Road opens at 8.40am and closes at 8.48am. Children are expected to be in class and ready for learning by 8.50am. The school day finishes at 3.15pm.
This structure provides a full school week of 32.5 hours of high-quality education.
